Throttle is an extremely simple program - a single interface, no configuration options - to make your computer and modem function as quickly as they can.

Once you open Throttle, it will ask for two facts - what operating system you are using, and what kind of modem connection you have. Format Factory isn't particularly original but what makes it really useful is that it handles images as well as audio and video. Most converters like this only handle audio and video, so adding images to the mix gives it an edge, especially considering it's free. We also like the Audio Joiner in Format Factory, which allows you to take two separate clips, join them together and then convert them. It would've been nice to have preset profiles for mobile conversions, but you can't always have it all in a free app!

Format Factory is an excellent conversion tool for anyone who converts between video, audio and images on a regular basis.

Si chiama VICE, ma non è secondo a nessuno! Un emulatore così ben fatto è difficile da trovare. Se poi ti rimette sulla scrivania computer come il VIC-20, il Commodore 128 e sua maestà imperiale il Commodore 64, la notizia è ancora più gradita.

Ma le meraviglie di VICE non finiscono qui: il programma infatti riporta in vita anche altre macchine meno conosciute, come il C64DTV, i computer PET e il CBM-II, computer che solo pochi veri appassionati ricordano. Basta cliccare sull'emulatore che vuoi usare e in un attimo sei operativo.

Le opzioni avanzate offerte da VICE sono tantissime e ti permettono, tra l'altro, di configurare il joystick e il lettore ottico. Il programma supporta le ROM di cassette, floppy disk e cartucce (facilmente reperibili in internet), quindi hai a disposizione praticamente l'intero "parco programmi" dei cari, vecchi Commodore, da Wonder Boy a Ghost n' Goblins passando per Mario, Bubble Bobble, Rambo e Commando.

Quando giochi puoi anche fare degli snapshot per poter ricominciare le partite interrotte da dove le avevi lasciate, un'opzione extra che nei fantastici anni 80 era solo un pio desiderio nel cuore di milioni di piccoli nerd.

Per chi ha conosciuto ed amato il Commodore 64 e la sua gioiosa famiglia, o per chi per motivi anagrafici ne ha solo sentito parlare, VICE è un emulatore irrinunciabile perché non è solo un tenero amarcord, ma anche un prodotto tecnologicamente rigoroso, decisamente migliore di, ad esempio, C64 Forever. Applauso e lacrimuccia.

Nonostante condivida parte del nome con il Blocco note di Windows (Notepad in inglese), Notepad++ Portable non è collegato con Microsoft, anzi si tratta di un programma open source distribuito liberamente in rete.

Rispetto al classico Blocco note è un editor di testo infinitamente superiore e ricchissimo di funzionalità aggiuntive, soprattutto per gli sviluppatori di software. È proprio a questa categoria di utenti che si rivolge con una serie di funzionalità come colorazione sintattica, auto completamento del testo, accoppiamento delle parentesi, stampa del codice con i colori della sintassi e molto altro ancora. Il programma è distribuito con le impostazioni per una trentina tra i più noti linguaggi di programmazione, ma è ovviamente possibile scaricarne altre, o definirne di proprie.

Anche se non sei un programmatore puoi comunque trovare molti buoni motivi per utilizzare Notepad++ Portable per scrivere e leggere i tuoi file di testo. L'interfaccia è estremamente comoda: ti permette di visualizzare due testi contemporaneamente in finestre affiancate o di utilizzare la navigazione a schede per aprire un numero imprecisato di file nella stessa finestra del programma, senza intasare la barra delle applicazioni di Windows.

In un'interfaccia semplice e in italiano, RevoluTV ti mostra la lista dei canali disponibili divisi per paese e categoria: informazioni, intrattenimento, musica, film, giochi, sport, bambini, acquisti. Decine e decine di canali in tutte le lingue sugli argomenti più disparati.

Come in ogni GdR che si rispetti, in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim inizi con la creazione del tuo personaggio, scegliendo sesso, razza e altre caratteristiche. Rispetto ad altri titoli del genere, l'evoluzione del personaggio è più automatica, la potenza delle armi e degli incantesimi vanno aumentando di pari passo all'evoluzione del personaggio.

I primi passi dell'avventura assumono fin dal principio un tono epico e fantasy con l'incontro con un drago. E l'avvio non è casuale: impersoni, infatti, Dragonborn, un essere capace di parlare la lingua dei draghi. Skyrim è, infatti, nel mezzo di una guerra civile e, come profetizzato, la razza dei draghi sta tornando a popolare il mondo.

Libertà senza precedenti nella terra di Skyrim

Uno degli aspetti che ha fatto sì che molti videogamer si appassionassero alla serie TES è stata l'ampiezza e la varietà dei mondi. Esteso su 40 km², The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim non è da meno, forse meno vario che il predecessore Oblivion, si distingue da altri RPG per avere all'interno della stessa mappa un'infinità di luoghi con caratteristiche geomorfologiche molto differenti.

In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim troverai cime innevate, coste rocciose, terre paludose e mondi paralleli, ma anche città estremamente elaborate e più di 150 sotterranei. La libertà d'azione è pressoché totale, e potrai scegliere se attenerti alla storia principale, se appoggiare la causa dei ribelli, difendere l'Impero o fare la scheggia impazzita.

Il gameplay di The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim dovrai esplorare, parlare con NPC (personaggio non giocanti) e risolvere missioni per sviluppare il tuo personaggio. Una nota di riguardo per il sistema di combattimenti, che è stato migliorato rispetto a Oblivion: i movimenti sono molto più fluidi e sono stati aggiunti colpi più violenti e spettacolari, in stile Fallout 3.

La grafica di The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Contrariamente agli standard RPG, in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ti muovi come in un FPS, ovvero con visuale soggettiva. I dettagli grafici sono impressionanti e, grazie anche alla varietà dei paesaggi e al motore grafico di Fallout 3, l'esperienza di gioco ne trae un netto beneficio.

Bethesda ha evidentemente prestato attenzione alle critiche dei fan, risolvendo non solo i problemi legati alle espressioni facciali dei personaggi, ma anche il sonoro e il doppiaggio delle voci che sono stati migliorati rispetto ai titoli precedenti.

REAPER è uno studio di registrazione ricco di funzioni ma amichevole anche con chi non ha dimestichezza con i sequencer. Supporta MIDI, plugin VST e può essere avviato come applicazione slave in modalità ReWire

REAPER è un sequencer estremamente ben fornito ma tecnicamente abbordabile. Eccezion fatta per le preferenze, rese un po' farraginose da un'interfaccia arruffata, il programma è molto più intuitivo della maggior parte dei suoi concorrenti, e soprattutto offre feature da applicazione professionale.

Il motore audio di REAPER è a 64 bit, il che vuol dire una gestione dei file audio ottimale (in questi frangenti si usa sempre il termine "headroom", che in italiano, in questo contesto, non ha una traduzione adeguata), il supporto dei plugin VST è totale ed è anche supportato il side chaining. I plugin ReaPlugs a 64 bit in dotazione sono di buona qualità.

REAPER gestisce molto bene il MIDI, compreso l'editing di tracce multiple, e l'uso delle automazioni in fase di mixaggio è implementato bene. L'applicazione è compatibile con un numero illimitato di tracce, e il routing è flessibilissimo. Ottimo anche il supporto ASIO, che consente di accoppiare al programma qualsiasi interfaccia audio senza problemi.

Sorprendentemente l'installer dell'applicazione è anche molto leggero: tutte queste meraviglie, infatti, sono contenute in circa 5 MB. La possibilità di associare a REAPER un editor audio esterno chiude il cerchio, e ne fa uno dei sequencer più appetibili per l'utenza che ancora non vuole avventurarsi nel mondo Pro (e quindi con applicazioni come Adobe Audition), o Pro Tools, Ableton Live o Cubase) ma ha comunque bisogno di uno strumento di alto livello, completo e programmato con coscienza.

Tra le novità più rilevanti di Firefox 3.6 c'è l'integrazione nativa di Personas, che permette dalla pagina dei plugin di Mozilla, e con un solo click, l'installazione di skin per personalizzare il design del browser come più ti piace.

Questa versione di Firefox supporta anche il Mozilla Plugin Check, un sistema che consente di verificare e controllare che le estensioni installate siano sempre aggiornate all'ultima versione disponibile. Firefox 3.6 include l'ultima versione del motore Gecko e prestazioni JavaScript migliorate. Non sono state risolte, invece, le antiche problematiche del browser Mozilla relative all'eccessivo consumo di memoria RAM.

Dopo la scomparsa dalla beta 3.1, riappare la funzione di Tabbed Browsing, che consente di usare lo shortcut Ctrl + Tab per vedere l'anteprima delle schede aperte con una miniatura che mostra il contenuto della pagina. Questa feature però non è attiva di default e va abilitata manualmente dal menu about:config (consigliato solo ad utenti esperti).

Firefox 3.6, inoltre, si integra perfettamente con la nuova barra degli strumenti di Windows 7. Per il resto mantiene tutte le caratteristiche già viste nella versione 3.5: navigazione anonima, usabilità migliorata, drag and drop dei tab da una finestra all'altra, manager post-crash, ripristino dei tab chiusi accidentalmente. Firefox, oltre ad essere un browser sicuro, si conferma ancora tra i migliori navigatori in circolazione.

EverNote è un programma che è anche un servizio web, il quale ti permette di catturare, conservare e sincronizzare documenti, note e appunti in formato digitale sul tuo PC e su uno spazio privato online. EverNote è un nuovo modo di organizzarsi che non si affida alle tue capacità di pianificazione, ma alle proprie potenzialità di riconoscimento OCR e di indicizzazione. Tu non devi ordinare le tue note in base a particolari criteri, devi solo accumularle. Al resto ci pensa lui.

Adesso EverNote è disponibile per tutti gli utenti; non devi più aspettare un invito per usarlo. Registra subito un account online e installa l?applicazione. A partire da questo momento avrai a disposizione un software da PC in cui semplicemente scrivere (anche a mano) le tue note e trascinare documenti digitalizzati con lo scanner o foto, persino scattate al volo con la webcam. EverNote è in italiano gratuito, multipiattaforma, estremamente intuitivo. È un po? lento nell?indicizzazione dei documenti grafici, ma ripaga le attese trovando rapidamente quello che cerchi. Inoltre, grazie al plugin per Firefox incluso puoi schedare brani di pagine web con un solo clic. Semplice ed efficace.

Cos'è Ableton Live
È un vero e proprio strumento musicale digitale. Nonostante si tratti di un'applicazione professionale (e la lista di musicisti di fama mondiale che lo usano in ogni fase del processo creativo è infinita: Daft Punk, Nine Inch Nails e Mogwai sono solo alcuni), imparare ad usarla non è complicato, perché la Ableton ha puntato molto sull'usabilità, con risultati sorprendenti.

In un'interfaccia rigorosamente 2D (e quindi molto docile con il processore), Ableton Live offre tutti gli strumenti che servono a fare musica. Questo vuol dire che, oltre ad un sequencer avanzatissimo per registrare in tempo reale tracce audio e MIDI, hai a disposizione drum machine, simulatori di amplificatori per basso e chitarra, campionatori ed effetti di ogni tipo. È anche possibile creare dei rack di effetti personalizzati che puoi salvare per usi futuri.

Due interfacce per soddisfare tutte le esigenze
Una delle peculiarità di Ableton Live è la presenza di due diverse visualizzazioni dell'interfaccia, una specifica per suonare dal vivo e pensata avendo in mente le esigenze dei DJ e dei musicisti elettronici, e una classica, da sequencer puro, con cui puoi registrare ed arrangiare in maniera classica. Il primo tipo di visualizzazione è anche uno strumento di arrangiamento geniale che nessun altro programma vanta. La possibilità di muovere, duplicare, editare ogni clip e di sistemarlo in un qualunque punto dell'interfaccia ti permette infatti di provare arrangiamenti diversi nel modo più intuitivo. Prova, cambia, aggiungi, togli. In Ableton Live è tutto incredibilmente facile.

Extract Groove: copia e incolla il feel ritmico di una traccia
Una delle funzioni peculiari di Ableton Live è Extract Groove, che estrae il "feel" di un file audio per applicarlo ad un altro. Chiariamo con un esempio. Mettiamo il caso che tu abbia una traccia audio di batteria che ti piace moltissimo e che tu voglia usarla in un pezzo che stai scrivendo. La procedura è semplice: prendi il file audio e lo importi nella timeline di Ableton Live, che automaticamente la metterà a tempo col resto. Ma c'è un problema: il feel della batteria non si adatta a quello del resto degli strumenti e si avverte chiaramente che si tratta di una traccia inserita "a forza".

Con Ableton Live il problema si risolve con un semplice click del mouse. Vai ad esempio sulla traccia che contiene il basso o un altro strumento che nel pezzo svolge un ruolo ritmico rilevante (può essere una chitarra funky, o un pianoforte, ad esempio), cliccaci con il tasto destro e scegli Estrai groove da menu.

In questo modo il groove viene salvato nella Raccolta di groove. Per verificarlo puoi cliccare sul tasto che raffigura due onde, che si trova nell'angolo in basso a sinistra del browser di Ableton Live.

Picasa è un software completamente gratuito che viene aggiornato e ottimizzato continuamente. E' un'ottima soluzione per chi è appassionato di fotografia e ha un gran numero di immagini da catalogare, gestire e condividere, in modo efficace ma con pochi click

Picasa è uno di quei programmi che funzionano in base ad un principio molto semplice. Ed è per questo che ti incantano. Implementato intorno ad un motore di ricerca che individua velocemente ogni formato di immagine presente sul tuo PC, il pluripremiato Picasa scova ogni minuscola foto, illustrazioni, gif animate, clipart che hai salvato sul disco rigido. Non riuscirai a credere quante immagini dimenticate si sono annidate negli angoli più remoti del tuo hard disk.

Picasa ordina le immagini cronologicamente e al termine della scansione ti permette di rinominarle, distribuirle in cartelle, catalogarle per tag e collezioni e persino modificarne l'aspetto e le dimensioni. Con Picasa potrai correggere i colori della tua foto, applicare dei filtri, eliminare efficacemente la maledizione degli occhi rossi e, se sei un fotografo esperto, persino intervenire sui dati Exif.

Adesso puoi anche ritoccare le imperfezioni (brufoli, cicatrici, ferite) nei ritratti e raddrizzare i paesaggi e una delle ultime novità è una funzione di riconoscimento automatico dei volti. In più, con Picasa ti divertirai a sperimentare nuovi effetti, senza nessuna paura di compromettere irrimediabilmente le tue foto. Infatti Picasa crea una seconda copia molto leggera dell'immagine su cui vengono effettuate tutte le modifiche.

Tutto questo sarà sempre a portata di click grazie a modalità di visualizzazione differenziate e ad un'interfaccia semplice, ma elegante, dall'usabilità migliorata. Ogni operazione è ancora più rapida e intuitiva con Picasa. Sono stati strategicamente aggiunti pulsanti rapidi dove serviva.

E se dopo aver catalogato e ottimizzato le tue foto, ti viene voglia di condividerle con qualcuno? Con Picasa, detto fatto: è facile e veloce, basta cliccare su un pulsante: ad esempio, si possono pubblicare le immagini su un album web sul tuo account Picasa Web Album o con le tue cerchie di Google+. Oppure puoi inviarle per e-mail ad un amico usando Outlook o il tuo account Gmail, o ordinare delle stampe via Internet.

YoutubeFisher consta di un'unica e minimalista schermata. Una volta incollato il link del filmato da scaricare, dovrai premere su "download Video" per avviare lo scaricamento e la conversione del video in formato MP4, 3GP (per cellulari) o nel nativo FLV. Scegliendo invece la voce "extract Audio" verrà effettuato il download della sola traccia MP3.

La leggerezza è il suo punto forte: consuma davvero poche risorse e risulta un complemento perfetto per i computer poco potenti. Peccato solo per l'assenza di livelli di protezione predefiniti tra cui scegliere.

Introduzione a BitTorrent

Se BitTorrent porta lo stesso nome del protocollo P2P che utilizza per lo scambio di file c'è una ragione: è il client ufficiale. Storicamente infatti questo software era programmato da Bram Cohen, lo sviluppatore che inventò questa tecnologia. Dalla fine del 2006 però le cose sono cambiate: la società BitTorrent ha acquistato il client µTorrent (spesso scritto anche come uTorrent), per farne il nuovo programma ufficiale semplicemente cambiandogli il nome e poco altro.

Le funzioni di BitTorrent

Il programma è leggero e dotato di tutte le funzioni necessarie per sfruttare al massimo questa rete peer-to-peer. Include un motore di ricerca per trovare file torrent e integra la tecnologia RSS, usata per annunciare la presenza di nuovi torrent su Internet.

BitTorrent può essere usato non solo per scaricare file (come film, giochi, documenti, video, musica in MP3 e qualsiasi materiale purché non coperto da diritti d'autore), ma anche per condividerli, permettendo la creazione di nuovi torrent.

Per ogni torrent il programma è in grado di mostrarti dati generali di download, informazioni su peers, seeds, trackers e grafici sulla velocità di download e upload. BitTorrent ha un'interfaccia in inglese, ma può essere localizzata in italiano scaricando l'apposito pacchetto lingue.

E chi l'ha detto che il karaoke è passato di moda? Scarica Karaoke 5, supera lo shock dell'interfaccia del programma (davvero brutta e caotica), carica le basi e comincia a scaldare le corde vocali.

Con Karaoke 5 organizzare a casa tua scatenate feste canore è un gioco da ragazzi. Ma prima assicurati di avere vicini comprensivi e, possibilmente, un po' sordi...

In termini un po' più tecnici, Karaoke 5 è un lettore di file MIDI, KAR, KFN, MP3, WMA, MP3+CDG, WMA+CDG, CD+G e VS, oltre al formato proprietario K5. Legge anche file video ed è localizzato in italiano. Insomma, una buona opzione, peccato per l'aspetto davvero poco user friendly e l'installazione un po' lunga.

Il solo pensiero di mettere ordine nel tuo PC ti terrorizza? Con DropIt Portable passa ogni paura. Il programma si installa in un attimo e, grazie al menu Manage, possiamo subito inserire le regole che vogliamo vengano applicate ai file che trasciniamo in DropIt Portable. Se, ad esempio, desideriamo avere tutta la nostra musica riunita insieme, possiamo creare una regola che sposti in una specifica cartella tutti i file in formato MP3, WAV e AIFF.

L?operazione funziona anche con intere directory. Se per esempio vuoi fare pulizia nella cartella di download (di solito una delle più caotiche del PC), puoi creare delle regole che smistino tutti i file DOC nella cartella Documenti, tutti i filmati AVI nella cartella Video e tutti gli EXE nella cartella Installers. Poi, un drag and drop e il gioco è fatto.

Rispetto ad altri programmi con funzioni simili, come Belvedere, DropIt Portable offre qualche opzione in meno (non rinomina i file e non li può riordinare in base alla dimensione, ad esempio), ma è stabile, leggero e molto semplice.

Da segnalare sono anche la possibilità di attivare le funzioni di DropIt Portable con il tasto destro del mouse e l?opzione che consente di creare tanti profili con regole diverse. Nel complesso, quindi, un?applicazione quasi magica: è buona, crea dipendenza ma non fa male. Ed è portabile.

Nel corso di anni di navigazione hai accumulato troppi Preferiti e ora non sai da che parte iniziare per fare un po' di pulizia? Bene, potresti provare cancellando i link rotti, quelli che non portano più su nessuna pagina web.

Per farlo non sei costretto a controllarli manualmente uno a uno. Puoi affidarti ad AM-Deadlink, una comoda applicazione che verifica automaticamente la salute dei tuoi segnalibri. Il programma è in grado di riconoscere anche eventuali doppioni, cioè collegamenti che puntano alla stessa pagina. Facebook ti unisce ad amici e conoscenti sparsi nel mondo. E sovente puoi leggere su alcune bacheche dei messaggi di stato scritti in lingua straniera (inglese, spagnolo, francese e così via). Se sei poco ferrato con le lingue e non ami perdere tempo accedendo ai servizi di traduzione online per tradurli, Facebook Translate può darti una mano.

Facebook Translate è un plugin per Firefox che aggiunge al tuo FB un pulsante "Translate" giusto accanto alla voce "Mi piace" presente in ogni messaggio di stato e relativi commenti. Basterà premere su tale pulsante per avere una traduzione immediata della frase corrispondente. E con un nuovo click (stavolta su "Untranslate") potrai ripristinare il messaggio originale.

Le traduzioni di Facebook Translate si basano interamente su Google Traduttore e sono di buona qualità, sebbene non sempre perfette. Infine, abbiamo trovato un po' frustrante il riavvio obbligatorio imposto dal plugin nel caso in cui tu decida di cambiare la lingua di destinazione.

Se troppe notifiche ti infastidiscono, puoi disattivarle a piacere dal pannello delle opzioni di Facebook Toolbar, accessibile dal pulsante Link rapidi o dai Componenti aggiuntivi di Firefox. IsMyLcdOK in ogni caso non rileva automaticamente i problemi. Permette semplicemente di vedere con più facilità pixel il cui funzionamento non è perfetto. E nel caso se ne incontrasse uno, si può provare ad utilizzare UDPixel per cercare di ripristinarne il funzionamento.

La comunicazione gestuale tra umani è possibile anche attraverso un videogame e Way è qui per dimostrarlo. Due simpatici personaggi devono arrivare alla meta finale ma per farlo hanno bisogno di collaborare senza parlare, ci riusciranno?

Way inizia presentandoti il tuo alter ego e quello del tuo compagno (solo dopo averlo trovato online, evento non sempre possibile). Poi un breve tutorial ti spiegherà come collaborare. Subito dopo entrerai nella magia del titolo scoprendo le meraviglie della comunicazione non verbale.

In Way, infatti, non potrai parlare con l'altro personaggio, ma dovrai fare affidamento sulla sua comprensione dei numerosi gesti ed espressioni che puoi compiere. Già, perché nonostante siate divisi da uno split screen, dovrete premere pulsanti, aprire porte e muovere oggetti con coordinazione.

Way ricorda vagamente il gioco Little Big Planet per PlayStation 3, soprattutto graficamente. Le animazioni non sono eccezionali ma hanno carattere e conferiscono caratteristiche prettamente umane agli avatar.

Il gameplay di Way è molto originale e non risulta compromesso dalla breve durata del titolo. Se non sarai abbastanza fortunato da riuscire a trovare un altro giocatore puoi sempre coinvolgere un amico: una emozionante esperienza è garantita!

Il consumo di risorse è migliorato rispetto alla precedente edizione, soprattutto in fase di stand-by. Tuttavia il prodotto installa ed usa davvero parecchi processi. Ne abbiamo contati una dozzina durante il nostro test.

È disponibile per il download gratuito la versione beta di Zero Ballistics, un gioco di scontri tra carri armati. In realtà si tratta di uno sparattutto in prima persona, con la differenza nemmeno troppo sostanziale che invece del controllo di una persona, si ha il controllo di un tank.

Gli sviluppatori di Zero Ballistics non sembrano essere andati troppo per il sottile. I blindati sono veloci e sparano a ripetizione. Insomma, il modello di controllo è tutt'altro che realistico o simulativo. Basta pensare che se per qualche motivo il blindato si capovolge, è possibile saltare (!) per farlo tornare sui sui cingoli. Poco realistici sono anche gli scenari: le case sono indistruttibili, e se ci si va contro, provocano danni al mezzo.

La beta di Zero Ballistics offre due modalità di gioco, Deathmatch e Team Deathmatch, entrambe giocabili esclusivamente online e contro altri giocatori umani; non è possibile giocare contro dei bot controllati dal computer. Graficamente il titolo è tutto tranne che di ultima generazione, cosa che per altro gli consente di funzionare senza problemi anche su computer antiquati.

LibreCAD, precendentemente noto con il nome di Caduntu, è localizzato in italiano e offre tutte le funzioni tipiche dei programmi di disegno tecnico in 2D. Permette di lavorare su livelli e salva i file come DXF (il formato proprietario di AutoCAD) ma anche come PNG o JPG.

Al momento LibreCAD ancora non supporta i file DWG né il disegno in 3D. Ma siamo fiduciosi che nelle prossime release ci saranno sorprese interessanti. Davvero un progetto ben fatto e utile.

Superbike Racers est un jeu de courses de motos dans lequel le joueur doit faire appel à son sens du pilotage pour devenir champion et débloquer de nouvelles bécanes, ainsi que de nouveaux circuits.

Devenir le meilleur en s'entraînant

Superbike Racers permet de se mesurer à 11 pilotes de moto aguerris dans 12 courses de 1 à 3 tours, selon le circuit. Pour mieux appréhender le jeu, rien de tel qu'un petit entraînement seul contre le chronomètre ou dans une course unique contre ces mêmes adversaires.

4 circuits, 12 courses, 4 motos

Au départ, Superbike Racers ne laisse à disposition du joueur que le premier circuit de Forest Park pour se faire la main. Cependant, les succès en compétition permettent de débloquer les suivants à Silverstone, Laguna Seca et Spa Francorchamps. Au total, la compétition porte sur ces 4 circuits, mais dans des conditions météorologiques différentes (ensoleillé, nuageux, pluvieux).

Superbike Racers permet également de choisir parmi 4 bolides de différentes puissance, à condition de les avoir débloqué en gagnant des courses et des points en compétition. La moto de base est en 500cc, celles à débloquer en 600cc, 800cc et 990cc.

Adapté aux novices

Superbike Racers est un jeu tout ce qu'il y a de plus basique. Ne vous attendez pas à l'exhaustivité d'un MotoGP ou d'un SBK, mais son contenu reste très sympathique à appréhender pour un novice en la matière.

Les puristes restent sur leur faim quand ils voient la gestuelle du pilote. Et pour cause: il est immobile sur sa moto. Même quand il tombe, il reste bien à cheval dessus comme une statue. Cette dernière séquence n'est visible que quand vous choisissez la difficulté Hard qui prend en compte les collisions avec les autres pilotes.

Superbike Racers n'est pas le jeu de motos de l'année mais il devrait plaire à de nombreux amateurs ou joueurs peu aguerris à ce genre de courses virtuelles. On se laisse prendre au jeu facilement, mais pour une expérience plus poussé, tournez-vous vers MotoGP ou SBK.

Bitdefender Total Security est un logiciel de sécurité très complet qui se donne pour mission d'optimiser l'utilisation d'un ordinateur en prenant garde à tous les dangers qui rôdent. De l'antivirus classique au cryptage de fichiers, en passant par la défragmentation, tout y passe.

Bitdefender Total Security a pour objectif principal de prévenir l'intrusion de virus dans le système et dispose pour cela d'outils performants. Bien entendu, le programme comprend un antivirus qui propose 3 analyses, rapide, complète et approfondie. Les plus aguerris peuvent lancer un scan personnalisé dans certains dossiers ou fichiers en particuliers.

Bitdefender Total Security bénéficie de la base de signatures des produits Bitdefender, où de nombreux malwares sont déjà listés, ce qui rend leur détection plus évidente. De plus, Bitdefender Total Security peut analyser les vulnérabilités du système, et qui nécessiteraient une mise à jour. Un outil de nettoyage du registre fait partie de cette palette, mais à ce jour, l'efficacité d'une telle action n'a jamais vraiment été prouvée. Son utilisation est donc laissée à la discrétion de l'utilisateur.

Bitdefender Total Security se charge de protéger le système en sauvegardant les fichiers importants. Vous pouvez créer un coffre-fort sur le disque dur, à savoir un dossier sécurisé accessible seulement avec un mot de passe. Question sauvegarde, Bitdefender Total Security peut conserver certaines parties du système en local ou sur un compte en ligne que vous aurez préalablement créé. Très pratique.

Du côté des options, on peut accéder aux statistiques des sites visités, personnaliser les règles de filtrage à l'aide de listes blanches ou noires ou encore limiter l'accès au Web à certaines heures de la journée. En cas de doute sur un réglage ou une fonctionnalité, il suffit de consulter le manuel en ligne, entièrement en français.

If you're on the move regularly or your hard drive is accessible by third parties, it's always vulnerable to attack or your privacy can be compromised by prying eyes. One way to prevent such compromises is by encrypting data.

TrueCrypt aims to do this by allowing you to encrypt data "on-the-fly". This means that data is automatically encrypted or decrypted immediately before it is loaded or saved without any further action on your part. Nothing can be encrypted or decrypted without using the correct password or encryption keys.

This encryption extends to entire file systems such as file names, folder names, file contents, free disk space etc. The good thing about TrueCrypt is that it doesn't get in the way of you dragging and dropping files.
